It can be used to remind students without stopping the entire class and wasting more time. "STAR/SLANT" demonstrates good classroom management by setting clear expectations from the beginning, maximizing learning time, and increasing self-management.

Example:Listing the expectations at the front of the classroom and turning them into an acronym would be a way to use this strategy. It's extremely important to make sure that all of the students know the expectations. If "STAR/SLANT" is constantly practiced in the classroom, it becomes natural behavior.
